Sauramandala Foundation is an NGO founded in 2018 with a vision to bring about systemic change in the lives of remote communities through empathetic, collaborative, and contextual solutions that are co-created with the communities themselves.


The Centre for Accelerated Development (CFAD) by Sauramandala Foundation is a public policy framework that addresses the challenges remote and inaccessible communities face by accelerating social and economic change through collaborative action, working with the government to scale up programs to increase impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review published and internal literature and datasets through searching, curating, and summarizing literature (scholarly, professional, and media publications) relevant to the social impact projects or the organization’s areas of work. Such literature may include Annual Reports, theory of change, sector reports, MoU/ agreements of the Government Departments, funding agencies, and research organizations, among others.

  • Source unpublished literature and datasets on the organization’s key areas of interest such as rural entrepreneurship, adoption of distributed renewable energy, and promotion of learning among the youth to gain insights on the challenges and opportunities for social impact areas in Meghalaya, North Eastern Region, and the country.

  • Maintain a compliance calendar for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing the impact reporting at the organizational and project level, based on the timeline provided by the regulatory authorities (e.g., for the Annual Report) and funding agencies.

  • Curate qualitative and quantitative data being generated by the projects and organization to draft the impact report. The data may include stories, case studies, field visit reports, speeches, project participant feedback, audio, video, photographs, and maps, among other formats.

  • Ideate the impact reporting approach through brainstorming and workshops with the project teams, funding agencies, and other stakeholders to draft and present the impact reports to the team to gather feedback and finalize the approach.

  • Draft and finalize the impact reports primarily in document format, but occasionally in video and audio formats. For multimedia formats, work with the multimedia teams in the Communications Team and/or Project Team.

  • Disseminate the impact reports through planning and organizing online and/or onsite impact events, by collaborating with the internal teams and external stakeholders, including Government agencies, funding agencies, and other organizations and communities at the district, state, regional, and national levels.

  • Collaborating with teams to develop fundraising proposals, especially where the impact stories need to be narrated.

Eligibility:

  • The candidate shall have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in research and writing. The writing should include writing professional reports and producing narratives for general audiences as well. 

  • The candidate should bring relevant experience in quantitative and qualitative research, especially a good understanding of descriptive statistics and data analysis using MS Excel.

  • The candidate should have an M.A. in social sciences (preferably in Economics, Sociology, Social Work, and Geography) or in humanities with relevant experiences and graduate studies from a recognized university or institution.

  • The candidate should have superior communication skills to organize online and onsite impact events.
